Cyanco Supports FIRST Robotics Championship
Cyanco was among several chemical suppliers to sponsor the MOE 365 Miracle Workerz Robotics Team in this year’s competitive robotics season, culminating in the FIRST Robotics Championships in Houston, TX.
Each year, hundreds of teams of high school students from around the world are given 6 weeks to build a robot that can perform complex tasks such as dispatching balls into nets or goals, placing inner tubes onto racks, hanging on bars and balancing on balance beams. Each team designs, programs and builds their robot using a standard kit of parts and common set of rules. Teams also build a team brand, develop community partnerships for support, and work to promote STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) in their local communities.
While the Houston championships were unfortunately cancelled due to COVID, MOE 365 was able to compete earlier in the year, and won the FIRST Mid-Atlantic District event, held in Pennsylvania. Congratulations team!
Cyanco is proud to support FIRST Robotics and the students on the MOE 365 Miracle Workerz team as they grow to become the next generation workforce of engineers, technicians and manufacturing professionals. We believe the critical skills being nurtured and developed today will contribute to a safer, more sustainable future for the mining industry.
